HOW PARATU WORKS

Know what’s missing.
Get it together.

You may not know every policy, benefit, or account your household relies on. We’re building Paratu to help you work out what matters, bring it together, and prepare the people who may need it.

What would you want help with?

A few ways someone might start

From a worry to something you can work on.

  1. Start with what’s on your mind.

Tell Para what you’re worried about or what’s changing. You can start on your own, as a couple, or with someone you’re helping. You don’t need to arrive with a list of documents or know all the right questions.

A place to begin that fits your situation.

  2. Work out what you need.

Para asks questions to help you figure out what to gather. Where is the life insurance? Are there benefits through work? Who handles the bills? Your answers help reveal what you already have and what still needs finding.

Know what’s missing and what to look for next.

  3. Bring the information together.

You choose whether to enable Para. Talk things through, add notes, and provide documents as you find them. Para helps organize the information so it’s easier to find and use. If you prefer to work without the assistant, you can collect and organize things yourself.

The details someone would need, gathered in one space.

  4. Bring your people in.

Invite a partner, relative, or trusted friend. Someone planning alongside you can see what you share, ask questions, and add what they know. A trusted contact may have a specific responsibility to accept. Para helps you check who can see the information and who has acknowledged their role.

The people involved know where they fit and what they can find.

  5. Keep it useful as life changes.

A missing insurance policy, an upcoming renewal, or open enrollment can be a reason to check in. Para’s reminders are intended to help you fill gaps and revisit information that may have changed. Everyday contacts and household responsibilities belong here too.

Less information left out of date or known by only one person.

Choose how much help you want.

Work without Para, let it use details about your files, or allow document processing when you need help extracting information. Some tasks use remote AI services with your permission. Limiting what Para can use also limits some of the help it can offer. Read more about your AI and privacy choices.

WHEN SOMETHING HAPPENS

Help working through the next step.

After a death, a hospital stay, or a disaster, even familiar tasks can feel overwhelming. Para’s role is to help the person dealing with it use the information available to them and work through what needs doing.

After a partner dies, that could mean finding the life insurance policy, working out who to contact, gathering what the insurer asks for, and checking which bills need attention. A reviewed guidance library supports the steps, taking account of where you live and what has happened.

Choose who helps, and how.

You choose who to share with now, who may receive information later, and who to ask to be a trusted guardian. Each person agrees to the role you ask them to take on.

We’re designing recovery and access after death or incapacity around rules you set ahead of time and confirmations from the trusted people you choose as guardians. You decide what a designated recipient may receive, including information you want kept private until those conditions are met.

Your life can involve more than one space.

Start on your own. Invite someone when you’re ready.

You can begin by gathering your own information. If you later build a life with someone, the goal is to bring your spaces together while keeping your individual privacy choices.

A space for your household. Another for helping a parent.

We’re building for people who take part in more than one space. You might plan with your partner and also help a parent prepare for care, with different people and responsibilities in each.
