PRIVACY, WITH YOU AT THE CENTRE
Close to your life.
Careful with your trust.
Paratu is being built for some of the most personal parts of life. Feeling prepared shouldn’t mean handing over control. Here’s what that means in this early version.
You hold the keys to your identity.
Your private identity keys stay protected on your device. Your passkey lets your device check that it’s you, without sending your private keys to Paratu. Your recovery passphrase stays with you too—we don’t receive it, and we can’t look it up or reset it.
We do keep the public information needed to recognise your account and authorised devices. That information helps us check your sign-in; it does not give us your private keys.
A recovery plan needs your part, too.
Your recovery backup is protected by your passphrase. Save it somewhere safe, and keep the passphrase separately. This matters because there isn’t a forgotten-password reset that can replace them.
Paratu is launching on web and mobile. Your recovery backup and passphrase help you bring your identity with you when you change devices. Before replacing a device or clearing its saved information, make sure you’ve securely backed up and confirmed access on your other device.
Private contents and account details are different.
The household vault we’re building will protect private contents on your device before they are stored or synced. The service would handle encrypted copies, not readable vault contents. Household storage and document uploads are not available here yet.
That protection does not mean we receive no information about you. We receive the name and email you provide when creating your account. We also receive the public account and device information needed for secure sign-in. These are separate from private vault contents.
A place on the list, not a trade in your privacy.
If you join early access, we use your email and optional name to save your interest and send Paratu news. Resend, our email-list provider, stores those details for us. You choose to receive updates, and you can unsubscribe from future emails.
No advertising trackers or third-party analytics have been added to this website. Please don’t put sensitive household details into the early-access form.
Clear boundaries, from the beginning.
Household records, document uploads, sharing, and conversations with Para aren’t available yet. This notice covers the website and account setup you can use today. We’ll update it as Paratu grows, so you can understand what’s changing before deciding what to share.
